Centre for Teaching and Learning

The Centre for Teaching and Learning is a unit of the Open University of Silesia (UŚ), with the goal of promoting a high culture of education. The achievement of this goal is realized through multifaceted support for the improvement of teaching competence among the academic staff. The Centre actively engages in collaboration to develop educational paths for academic teachers with diverse experiences in academic teaching. Additionally, it coordinates activities related to the involvement of tutors within the university, including the implementation of tutorial cycles as part of ongoing educational projects.

The Centre for Teaching and Learning provides mentoring support to all academic teachers in current matters related to teaching. Furthermore, it is involved in the development of programs, coordination, and conducting of internal training and workshops on innovative teaching methods and academic tutoring. Our actions aim not only to enhance the quality of teaching but also to create conditions for the creative and effective development of the academic community.

We offer training, workshops, and pedagogical mentoring, promoting best practices in education. We create a platform for the exchange of thoughts and experiences, guided by the educational mission of the university and the philosophy of learning as a relationship.
